Thank you all the help and suggestions.

I finally solved it. After collecting a number of quotations I like, I
compiled them in Word first, arranged for line ends etc and used the
Enter/Return key at the end of line.

Then replaced ^p^p (end of paragraph) with && (or anything
else)temporarily then exchanged ^p (end op line) with \n, and
converted back the && to ^p^p (end of paragraph). This did the job.

Using the macro cookie and assigning the filename Quotations it work
fine using random selection.
