Dear friends of TBUDL,
some days ago I asked help for a little question about address book.
I want to fill the TO: field of a new message only with the first name of
the contacts of my address book, which is organised by LAST NAME, FIRST
NAME. So if I send a message to friend of mine Bruce Springsteen, I want
The Bat! to show TO: BRUCE and not SPRINGSTEEN, BRUCE! ;-)
Marck (thanks! Thanks! thanks!) gave me some good ideas. He suggested me to
use this macro:
%TO=''%TO='"%ABtoFirstName=.%TONAME." <%ABtoEMAIL="%TOADDR">'%-
It works well, but only if I use it as a quick template or as a specific
template for each contact of my address book. But I want to use it as a
default setting. I tried to paste it in my very simple new message's
template in ACCOUNT PROPERTIES, but it has no effects. Why? I don't use
folder or groups templates...
Do you have some good ideas to solve my little problem?
