The envelope colour indicates message priority:

yellow - normal

blue   - low

red    - high

You can adjust both your outgoing and incoming message priorities.
For outgoing messages, left clicking the little bat icon in the
status bar of the editor toggles the priority for the message. You
can also right click the same little bat icon to get a context menu
from which you can choose the message priority. Finally, you can
change it via the editor's option menu.

You can adjust received message priority through an incoming filter
action or manually, through a hotkey assigned filter.
