As long as Mozilla's Mail application is installed, it is used be
default for mailto: links. There are 2 possibilities to change this
behaviour:
1.) Install Mozilla with a custom installation and leave out the Mail
client.
2.) Add the following line to your user.js file in your Profiles
directory:
user_pref("network.protocol-handler.external.mailto", true);
