Ahhhh I wonder if this is why I get a problem? I don't use a dial up setting - I'm on a LAN so it's set to use the Network connection always. I have a similar problem using ICQ instant messenger as it doesn't always detect when the LAN's internet connection is off-line - I suspect The Bat! is having the same difficulty. TF> None of my accounts have any tickmarks at Account / Properties / TF> Network / [ ] Use account-specific... Same here - it connects fine anyhow so I left it unticked. I'll try it ticked and see if that solves the problem - it may tie in with the above - i.e. telling The Bat! that it is on a Network here. Win 98SE on a Windows network via hub, using ICS to connect to the internet via a v90 external modem attached to the gateway PC over a standard BT line. -- Cheers, Anne ________________________________________________ Current version is 1.61 | "Using TBUDL" information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
