I use it in two ways. After mailing list messages get filtered to
various folders, I mark those messages that need to be archived, so,
when I click to empty the folder, they won't be deleted along with all
the other messages.  The other way that I use it is when a message
comes in that needs to be in front of my eyes; losing it isn't the
issue, since I keep messages on the server for a couple of days, but
not losing sight of it is the challenge.  I'll park it in the inbox
(which normally I keep down to few or no messages).
