Hi Robin,
   To answer you last question first, Yes its a feature.
   A feature that takes some getting used to. It stems from the fact that
   email was/is 7-bit ASCII characters with fixed spacing. This editor
   behavior allows you to go anywhere on the "page" and place characters
   were you need them, making it easy to form tables en such.

   The problem is that most people are used to Word-processors which is
   a different kind of beast and one that has transformed it self to a
   sort of desktop publishing program.

   My advise is that you try it for a while. You will notice that it
   grows on you. One of the big advantages is that it is WYSIWYG in
   ASCII.

   There has been a rumor that in the long awaited Version 2 of TB!
   there will be an option for an other editor.
