Same here, seeing the line 'This message scanned by 'X' AV' only
brings about a 'So what ??' comment !

Yep, the first thing a virus writer does is to make you think their
offering isn't a virus .... cf the Klez Cleaner that states it is
necessary to turn off your AV before activation ( and then infects you
with Klez ) .. must have been a good few caught out with that one :-(

Agreed - we know our Kaspersky scans all outgoing mail but what
matters most to *us* is that incoming mail is scanned, as it should be
for whomever our e-mail is sent to :-)

As for getting NOD32 to insert such a tag line .... pass < lol >
