Hello, A few days ago I posted a request for help in setting up TB for two XP users (with user privileges) from an XP administrator profile.
TB has excellent user account administration tools but they only configure TB users profiles within the TB administrator's current XP profile. This is a shame, as it would be ideal if TB administrator, working from an XP administrator profile, could set up accounts and multiple-account profiles for TB users who then access them from their own XP user profiles. Many thanks to Allie and Paul Cartwright for their suggestions for navigating a way through this. I have adopted Allie's solution, copying the RIT key from the XP administrator's registry HK Current User to that of each user's profile. User profiles were temporarily set to administrator privileges during the copying and set back to user privileges afterwards. Now either user can access TB accounts, set up for them by the XP administrator, from within their own profile (and in fact either user can log on to their TB profile from the other's XP profile). This is a rather tortuous process, but it achieves the aim. Perhaps in future TB releases something simpler could be incorporated? All's well that ends well. I'm a very satisfied customer! Many thanks once again. Next question..... Is there a way to enable drag and drop text editing within TB? If not, will this be forthcoming in a future release? Using Cut & Paste to move text blocks and transposed letters within words, even with keyboard short-cuts, seems a bit archaic these days.
