To fix several, in part serious, issues.
They only told there're no new _features_ introduced, they did not
refuse to bug fix.

That's the story going around, correct.

Beside the fact it doesn't matter if programming language changes to
call it a 'complete rewrite' (could be completely rewritten in same
environment; rewrite only means to throw away [most] old sources instead
of altering them), it's "Delphi 2/6" vs. "C++" if I'm informed
correctly. Might be I err, of course. But at least doesn't matter;
mistakes can be made in both languages and therefore the only thing that
counts is the result. If v2 is to buugy and unstable it can be written
in whatever you like, it doesn't make it better.
But I don't expect it being too unstable and hope the first _release_
(not first public beta) is somehow rock-solid stable :-)
