You can reserve the flag for a simple binary symbol (which I think is
useful in some circumstances) while also labelling individual messages
with a color code. On the main menu, see Message/Color Group. You can
also set a hot-key for each grouping you establish, so you can read
the message, click your hot-key, and it's coded. If desired, you can
also filter on color grouping, or, as I do, use color grouping as a
dimensional sort that cuts across your folder distribution system.
