that really isn't a problem, although it's easiest to have a separate
inbox for each account for anything which isn't picked up by any of
the filters. You can filter to folders in one of the accounts, or, as
I do, use common folders, outside the account structure.

That really isn't a problem either. You have to have each account
check it's own mail, but it all happens at once, you'l just see
multiple accounts if you check the connection centre.

I'm using a portable and at home connect to cable, at the office DLS.
Sending is a problem, but I collect accounts from cable, accounts from
DSL, batpost.com, gmx, earthlink and another email provider. It works
fine, and seamlessly with mail all going into common folders.
