Odd. When TB claims the old folders, it should see the old messages
too. Are you sure the new account points to the old directory?
Try 'Search for lost folders': Ctrl-Alt-Shift-L and see if that finds
you any new folders.

If that doesn't do anything.
Close TB
Delete in all folders that appear to be empty the messages.tbi files,
these are index files that can go corrupt. In case your Windows crash
happened while you were running TB, it isn't unlikely to explain this.
When you start TB again, it creates the messages.tbi anew.
