When I first bought the Bat I had some problems with The Bat abending. All these problems in the Bat were not caused to some of my friends who received the same messages using other mail programs. The problem was only with the Bat.
I didn't get any further problems until today... 1. Received email from known and respected regular source. It has HTML in it. 2. When click on the line to view it. A) begin to see HTML form on screen B) after a fraction of a second program abends 3. Get "This program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down. If the problem persists, contact the program vendor. THEBAT caused a general protection fault in module KRNL386.EXE at 0001:00009d4a. Registers: ............" After going through some blue screens of death I get "Explorer EXPLORER caused a general protection fault in module KRNL386.EXE at 001:00007572" I had no alternative to turn off the machine. I lost my internet connection... 4. Turn on the machine when I am off the internet. I started The Bat. Highlighted the same message. Get a dialog saying there is an error in the Bat. Get blue screen of death. Am forced to power off machine. 5. Turn on the machine when I am off the internet. Highlighted the same message. Quickly deleted the message. So the message goes to Trash folder. 6. Phew. I can now run the Bat. Has anyone else got this problem with the Bat? What can I do to prevent it? (Running The Bat version 1.61 Business Edition under Win95) Regards, Peter Evans ________________________________________________ Current version is 1.61 | "Using TBUDL" information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
