I don't know. I can't get TB top make a sound when I delete a mail.
Where do you point to your silent sound?

You could delete the mail with the dispatcher:
 Account -> Dispatch mail on server
TB only needs the headers for that.

BTW Why do you delete your mails? That is why manually. I hardly
delete any mail. My mail gets filtered into various folders and every
folder has it's own settings in the purge and compress department.
Maximum 10 messages, maximum 360 days, don't dele old mail ever. Works
for me.
