Over here I receive the message, and the attachment is a "valid
signaure". You seem to be opening only the attachment. If you look at
teh source of the message (the digest in this case), would it give you
a clue whether the message itself is in there? The text was:

and some more stuff. If you cannot find this in clear text, the list
server appears to have stripped it off.

Yes, this appears to be the problem.
