One of the items I submitted to the Bat's "wish list" was for toggle flags on the bottom of the message edit window to show you the status of "Auto Format", "Justify on Autowrap". etc.
Right now I have to "mentally" remember if I hit Ctrl-Shift-F to save me having to pull down the Utilities Menu to check the status of this flag. Now maybe there's an option to "show this", but if there isn't and you'd like to see these things alongside "Stream", "Insert", etc. send the BAT! team a request for this to be in the next release.
