Hello justino, > Anyone using BAT with maximizer from www.maximizer.com
I use TB *and* Maximizer, but I don't really use *with* Maximizer although I would like to. The main problem is that TB only supports simple MAPI and with only simple MAPI many of the functions that should be available in Maximizer aren't. Some day TB may support extended MAPI. For example, you can only see the Inbox (of the account that is set as default for mailto URLs) but not the rest of the folders. When reading or composing from Maximizer you can't use TB's viewer or editor, just Maximizer's. When composing a message you can access TB's address book but the address is not included correctly (Name and Last Name are included but not e-mail address). However, if you select a Contact in Maximizer to e-mail him/her, the Contacts e-mail address is used and the message can be sent just fine by TB. > How do I integrate with BAT?? What version of Maximizer are you using? I'm using 5.0. Our company is in the process of upgrading to 7.0 but I haven't got my copy yet. With 5.0, you may not need to do anything special to "integrate" them, except configuring Maximizer. Select File/Preferences and on the E-mail tab: - Make sure you select "Override extended MAPI" - Select "Prompt for a profile to be used" (it won't prompt you anyway) - Click the Advanced button and select "Other e-mail system" Try this way and, if it doesn't work (with the limitations mentioned above) then, exit Maximizer and in TB select Preferences >Options >Aplications >Install as MAPI and try again. > If I used the command from preferences>options>aplications>Install > as MAPI, do I lost previous emails in folders?? No, you will not loose any folder. > If I want to swicht back, is there any problem?? No, no problem. When doing the "Install as MAPI" you will get a warning telling you that mapi32.dll (if any in your system) will be renamed to mapi32tb.dll. To switch back all you have to do is delete mapi32.dll and rename mapi32tb.dll to mapi32.dll. -- Best regards, Miguel A.
