Hi All,

I've been using TheBat! for quite a while now, at least a year or so. I thought
I was subscribed to this list but I never got any mail, so imagined that the
list was dead. Instead, my subscription must have failed somehow. Anyway, here I
am again.

About me: I've been programming for ages, emailing not so long but making up for
it by posting to lots of mailing lists, mostly about Extreme Programming. I'm a
long-time Windows user but won't use Outlook because I don't need any viruses
right now. I used Eudora for a long time but was having problems with it when
someone suggested TheBat! I've been a happy user ever since!

I do have a question, about filters. I tried searching the archives and didn't
find anything, but if it's there, feel free to send me back.

I set up my filters so that I read all mail in the inbox and inbox-known. Then I
use "Read" filters to send the mail to folders for filing. This works fine with
one exception.

I would like to default all mail that isn't filtered elsewhere to go to the
folder named "Read". I can do that with the last filter in the list, of course.
That also works.

HOWEVER: If the mail in question is useless or spam, I want to delete it.
Pressing the Del key, with the default read filter mentioned above, doesn't send
the mail to Trash, it sends it to "Read".

So my question is: how can I have both a default filter sending mail that has
been read from Inbox to folder "Read", and allowing mail that is deleted from
Inbox to "Trash".

Thanks!
