No. Not interested :-)
The one category of header lines offer technical information and help,
the other only "fun". Recognizing a person on a ML is usually done by
it's name, so X-Face is a pure toy.
One might find it "funny", but it's use is far behind the one of
List-headers. :-)

We already to have.
Me personally don't need the list footers :-)

Sadly the truth :-/

Yes, I can.
But as you might have noticed: some signature don't contain only the
name, but maybe also a nickname (as mine sometimes do) and different
contact information or PGP-Key-IDs. These information are usually not in
"From:" header :) (or any other)

Yes ... of course ... it's christmas time!!! :-))))

No. they're _too_ delicious :-)))

??? You seem not to understand the meaning of an attribution line?!?
Didn't we had this discussion on any of the TB!-lists recently? :-)

I do have. But you still don't have any influence on number of
"Received" lines in incoming mails :-)
But yes, I've written a program for myself to strip header lines out of
a mail. :-) It's primary use is to strip SpamAssassin headers when
submitting mails to SpamCop. As it takes the headers to strip as command
line arguments (multiple are allowed) it would be easy stip Received
headers on incoming mails too :-)

I didn't forbid it, so I don't need to "allow" it now or later, no
matter what changed in circumstances. I just expressed my opinion it's
superfluous :-)

Seems you want to misunderstand or misinterpret. That's sad.
I did not say these messages should be deleted, neither server side nor
client side, just because of it's content.
I said having references for FAQs can be helpful.
I don't like the idea of typing the same answer over and over again.
I don't like creating a QT for every FAQ. So pointing the questioner to
the correct location of the answer is a possible solution.
If these pointer / reference is in message headers (inserted by list
server software) I (and others) can refer there, the answer will be
short an precise and everybody _can_ be happy.
Those with 1000+ mails per day because the number ain't increasing more
than needed with only redundant information, the others because they got
a short and exact answer to their question, instead of a 20+ mails
thread with 19 "possible ..." answers.

??? Lets switch off the computer. It's superfluous. Somebody once said:
"Computers are there to solve problems we wouldn't have without them."
[source unknown] ....
I have seen a figure of a cow, applicable at the roof of a car.
It increases the factor of recognition if I drive through the city,
albeit it increases the consumption of fuel significant ... Superfluous
or necessary?????
P.S.: I smell a fish ... let's hide on TBOT before it hits :-)
