Create a text file and place each line of text you wish to randomly
generate in a *single* line. Do not include any blank lines in the
file since it will also be included in the random selection. Save the
file to your TB! installation directory.
In your template, to randomly generate a line of text from the file,
put:
%Cookies="filename"
If the lines of text are very long and you wish for them to be
automatically wrapped, then put:
%Wrapped="%Cookies='filename'"
(the quotation signs are important so put them exactly as shown.)
If you wish to put the file somewhere other than the TB! installation
directory then you'll have to give the full path as well in the
macro. For example:
%Cookies="C:\Windows\textfiles\taglines.txt"
or
%Wrapped='%Cookies="C:\Windows\textfiles\taglines.txt"'
BTW, this cookie mechanism may be used in other ways. You could use
it to randomise entire signatures. You can do it like this:
For each signature, create a quick template. Give each signature
template its own handle name.
Create a text file and put each quick templates handle in its own
line like:
handle1
handle2
handle3
handle4
etc.
In your message templates, instead of putting your usual signature,
put:
%Qinclude="%Cookies='sighandletextfile.txt'"
There's more you can do as well. It just depends on your imagination
and creativity.
Good luck and enjoy! :)
