Hi all,
I just encountered a very strange problem. I was playing around with
exporting my address book and at one point chose "Save Address Book Set
as..." from the File menu. I set the directory to my Desktop and saved the
file in order to have a look at what was saved.

The problem is that The Bat! decided to set its address book directory to
my desktop from then on. So it kept on saving ADDRBOOK.INI there. I had to
shut down windows for other reasons, and upon starting The Bat! again I
suddenly found a heap of .ADB files on my desktop (with names associated
with the certificates... can't remember the actual names sorry). I also
discovered that all of my addresses had disappeared!

The fix, it would seem, is to simply use "Save Address Book Set as..." and
re-set the directory to the MAIL directory. Upon re-starting everything
seems as normal.

Is this expected behaviour? Should choosing that option actually set the
base directory that The Bat! uses for address books? I know little about
them (hence my playing around with the export), but this seems pretty
counter-intuitive.

OS: Windows XP SP1
The Bat!: 1.62i

Tim.
