I also downloaded stuff with IE successfully before, but often enough I had problems and got tips about download managers - Download Accelerator among them - on TBOT. > What type of event can a download manager keep track of that IE can't? The download manager not only downloads in 4 threads at the same time (making it faster), but if there is a connection problem, you can pause or stop now, and resume later. IE forgets where it was and starts again from the beginning. This was my main reason to use a downalod manager. > Does IE simply take what it receives from the web server? So is how I deal with a situation like you seem to be in: If I have a problem others don't have, I usually try to change something on my system, or in the way I work. One possibility would be to try another way of d/l'ing something, if I cannot d/l it the way I always did and which I expect to work. Even if it doesn't make sense to me, and it should work as usual: despite my degree in computing, I believe that I *don't* know most of what there is to know about computers. ;-) -- Cheers, Thomas.
