Hi Peter (and Roelof), It's too late already: I deleted the original directories. The sunny side is that now all obsolete data and contacts are gone too.
Apart from that, there is a limitation to restoring accounts: if you plan to restore accounts from backed up data, and if you used non default directory names in your old installation of The Bat!, you simply have to use the same old (non default) directory names during the new installation of The Bat!, because if you don't, error messages are bound to appear. That's what happened to me.
