Hi Paul, I can't comment on your specific situation or the US laws ( I'am European). The thing is that I lot of things are possible on the Internet. Reverse look-up of pone numbers has been with us since almost the start of the Internet. Mapping/Routing software will show you maps of were ever you want to go. What I wanted to point out that anyone could and SHOULD check a message for validity before sending it into a mailing list were it is completely off topic.
