Hello tbudl,
I have experienced a sudden inability to DELETE messages in ONE of my
fourteen mail accounts. The problem is universal among all
sub-folders in that account. It happened in the middle of reading and
cleansing a sub-folder. 14 (spam) messages were deleted and the trash
emptied & compressed. Next group of 16 spams I tried to delete stayed
in place. No action is taken on highlighting them and pressing
{DELETE}. One file or 100, can't delete them.
The only clue I may have is that this is the ACCOUNT with (now 4)
folders that are corrupted for exceeding 2.1GB MESSAGES.TBB size.
Still no fix for that, and I'll be damned if I am going to lose all
8.4GB of file attachments! That mostly represents thousands of $$$ of
online time, at a time when I paid $2.00/minute for 56K access!! I'm
on ADSL now (256k-down/64K-up) which still costs me a flat US$125.00 /
month.
All other 13 accounts still behave normally. Any suggestions?
BTW, I downloaded the REBER.EXE and ran it on my damaged mailboxes
which had exactly ZERO effect. DOS box opened for half-second, then
closed with nothing done.
