AFAIK, this is only possible by manual editation of "user.js" file in
Mozilla directory. Close Mozilla and add following row to it:
user_pref("network.protocol-handler.external.mailto", true);
Then check "mailto:"; option in The Bat!'s preferences dialog and hit
"Associate now" button and Mozilla should use The Bat! for mailto now.
