At a guess, it would be because other clients render images using
the IE engine. It will scale undimensioned images to fit the viewer.
TB will only render as told and according to the image's true
dimensions.

Have them sent the proper size in the first place? Ask RIT to add a
"scale-to-fit" mode to their rendering engine? Right now, there's no
way to do it.
