I'm not exactly sure what you are attempting but I'm assuming you want
to post processing prior to the mail leaving your system. If that's
the case, I do something similar by having sent mail go through
GPGrelay, which handles pgp functions and then ADR which does the
actually delivery to the recipient.

Configuration is just a matter of assigning the word "localhost" as
the SMTP (aka Remote) server name (in my case in both The Bat and
GPGrelay) and ensuring that I assign ports that match the flow path.

For example:

The Bat  SMTP   port 725

GPGRelay Local  Port 725
         Remote port 25

Advanced Direct Remailer port 25
