Hello Thomas OK, I tried to do that, but the program just hangs. Even after letting it stand for 15 minuttes nothing happens, and I have to kill the program from the task manager. The backup INBOX root file purges and compressed well and it takes about 4 minuttes. The other sub-folders in the INBOX doesn't have problems with purge and compress either. I have combined the "new" messages.tbb with the "backup" messages.tbi I can read the INBOX root folder again, but I miss the mails received in between the dates between the two files. The program also states that the message base seems broken and asks if I want to repair it. Combining the "backup" messages.tbb with the "new" messages.tbi I can't read the INBOX root folder and the program hangs. So it must be a problem with the "messages.tbi" as far as I can conclude.
