She is, at her slightly advanced age (is that ok to say that Mary?) making a trip across the pond to explore, England Ireland and Scotland and also to sit through getting on for 26 hours of Wagner's Ring Cycle here in Glasgow. I know that because she's also a very proficient amateur horn player and we got talking when she heard I played in the orchestra of Scottish Opera so she booked tickets and flights and I'm very much looking forward to meeting her in the flesh.
