Hi Thomas and list, On Sunday, September 14, 2003 at 23:26:03 GMT +0700 (which was 18:26 where I live) Thomas Fernandez wrote (at least in parts) and made these valuable points on the subject of "MyGate, newsgroups with TB made easy":

There is a port number entry in the SMTP -> NNTP (likewise in POP -> NNTP) gate configuration. You can enter any _unused_ port on your machine. You have to enter _this_ port in The Bat!'s SMTP port. 25 will work fine as long as you don't habe another program which is listening on port 25 at localhost. Due to AV (PCCillin), Spampal, GPGRelay which handle my incoming/outgoing mails i decided to use 1700 / 1701 for MyGate. -- Regards Michael powered by The BAT! 2.00.6 with usual problems of Windows XP Pro 5.1 Build 2600 Service Pack 1 ________________________________________________ Current version is 2.00 | "Using TBUDL" information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
