Hmm, if I set the subject with a macro I can, as Roelof suggested, add to that
subject by going to the body of the message, MAKING SOME CHANGE TO THE BODY,
and then going back to the subject.

If I try to add to the subject before getting to the body, or after tabbing to
the body but not typing anything it, it reverts to the previous value as you
suggested.
