I'm using only TB!'s PGP/MIME options here. The PGP preferences option to
'Use PGP/MIME when sending mail' is disabled here. Has always been.

Is the plug-in option that you're referring to, the PGP preferences
option I mentioned above?

For caching passphrases you have to use the PGP preferences.

I'm not sure what you mean by plugin vs builtin options but since you
have things working, I guess it's not terribly important. :)
