If you wish to use PGP only for e-mail, then PGP 8.03 Freeware will work just fine. However, it's licensed to be used only for personal e-mail and not business. If you wish to use PGP Disk among other features outside e-mail, then you'll need a paid license. See http://www.pgp.com for more information on this. Don't forget GnuPG/GPGShell.
