Hello again,

Well a new dawn has brought no helpful revelations...

Every time that I try to re-discover my files with ctrl-alt-shift-L,
TB creates a complete replica of each of my account trees at the root
level - but they are just regular folders (i.e. no account details in
properties).

Worse, they share the same directory on disk, so cannot be
deleted/emptied without emptying the "real" ones.

I've already tried deleting them (thus clearing out their mirror) and
then importing my saved files, folder by folder, into their original
places. Only to find that the next ctrl-alt-shift-L brings the
problem back!

This looks terminal. I'm crushed that I've reached such a wall
here, with _no_ way to continue with my old data.

Just for the record, I've created my folder structure below:

----------- folder layout as it should be -------------------------
@ account1
  - inbox
  - outbox
  - list folder
    - list1
    - list2
    - etc.
  - etc.

@ account2
  - inbox
  - outbox
  - client1
    - list1
  - etc.

... etc.

root folder1
  - dir1
  - dir2
  - etc.

root folder2
  - dir1
  - dir2
  - etc.

----------- folder layout that I'm getting -------------------------
@ account1
  - inbox
  - outbox
  - list folder
    - list1
    - list2
    - etc.
  - etc.

@ account2
  - inbox
  - outbox
  - client1
    - list1
  - etc.

... etc.

account1 # these are the duplicates of the @accounts above
  - inbox # sharing the same disk file properties
  - outbox
  - list folder
    - list1
    - list2
    - etc.
  - etc.

account2
  - inbox
  - outbox
  - client1
    - list1
  - etc.

... etc.

root folder1
  - dir1
  - dir2
  - etc.

root folder2
  - dir1
  - dir2
  - etc.

---------------------------------- end -----------------------

Is there something fundamentally wrong with this layout? Otherwise
that's about it for me 'cos I can't see any way forward with TB.
