Hello fellow tbudl'ers,

I hope we all have enjoyed the holiday season so far and are looking
forward to the coming new year.

I've been silent for awhile, but have a vexing problem to solve. I
need to send an e-mail (forward) to a mailing list that I am a
moderator (owner) of. The list is under THIS e-maill address (an
account ALIAS), but the messages come in to ANOTHER account address. I
have set up an address book identity and forward template for the list
address, however when I change the ACCOUNT to send the forward from,
it will not allow me to override the default 'FROM' address! No
matter how many macros I include to reset it, it still keeps the
DEFAULT _address_ and _name_ of the account, and not the account ALIAS
I use for these lists.

I use:

%ACCOUNT="AccountName"%-
%FROM=""%FROM='"Spike" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>'%-
%RETURNPATH=""%RETURNPATH='"Spike" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>'%-

%BCC="group_list"

These overrides normally work, as long as I _don't_ use %ACCOUNT.

The %BCC command WORKS, and inserts the addresses of a few friends who
want to receive the newsletters, but do not wish to subscribe to a
mailing list for [EMAIL PROTECTED] reasons. So by this I know that macros are
working.

Does the %ACCOUNT setting PERMANENTLY override the other settings? Is
there another way to have the mail sent from a different account? My
account with this provider allows me to send mail with ANY originating
address, as long as I am pop authenticated, so I wish to set this
OUTBOX as my default outbox (to send mail) for ALL my accounts. Is
this possible as well? Is there something I am overlooking??

My local ISP's mail account has become unreliable at best and I have
abandoned it for the most part. They also did not allow me to SEND
through my account when I am traveling (not logged in locally to their
system).

As you can see, I am still using V1.62r despite having paid and
registered an upgrade to V2.xx with the Christmas discount :-) I'm
still waiting for a few more bugs to be swatted before I convert over.

BTW, does V2.xx install _OVER_ V1.xx with no problems??
