I don't think 'popular' is the word.  Perhaps 'default'?  I would wager
that way more than half of Outlook's users don't realise they have a
choice!

I used to regularly pan Outlook for its superior virus conduit, but
since I have had to use it in my new job, I am happy to report I can now
pan it as a lousy email client!  Some people have been saying TB!
doesn't do things 'the way one would expect'.  Well, heck, neither does
Outlook!  It took me a long while to find the email headers for example
- surely a fundamental requirement of an email client???  The darn thing
annoys me daily.

Perhaps my 'favourite' stupidity is the extreme effort required to get
email addresses from 'Contacts' into an email!  Why the hell do they
have two address books?
