I have suggested that: When a message has a colour group ascribed to it and/or is flagged, that there should be a marker on the accounts list on the left so that when the mailbox is closed it is indicated against that mailbox as such.
Similarly, when account is collapsed and mailboxes not visible, a marker indicating the fact as above is shown against the account.
