Indeed. If you use those keys or just the arrow keys you always have to
be conscious of which pane is in focus.
Alt-arrows will always scroll only the preview pane. Same for spacebar.
So for me, since the alt-up/down is cumbersome, I use PowerPro driven
'/' for going to the next unread message and spacebar to read. I never
have to be concerned about which pane is in focus.
