The header pane will display a number of fields from the header on an
email. One of the fields in the default set up is "Follow-up:" which, if
you go to message headers preferences, should display the contents of the
"References:" header.
However it appears only to display "Follow-up:" where there is both an
"In-reply-to:" header and a "References:" header. Moreover the value it
displays as "Follow-up:" seems to be taken, not from the "References:"
header, but the "In-reply-to:"!
So that if the "In-reply-to:" header is present with no "References:"
header, my header pane shows "In reply to" but not "Follow up:". This
behaviour is as expected.
If the "References:" header is present with no "In-reply-to:" header, my
header pane shows neither "In reply to" nor "Follow up:".
And furthermore, if the email headers contain something like:
In-reply-to: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
References: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
My system displays:
In reply to <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
Follow up: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
Can others confirm this behaviour? If so, does anyone know if it has been
reported as a bug?
