I think that's the case... you can create your own templates for new
messages, reply, forward etc. and for each account, folder, and address
book entry.

Yes... I presume you mean the "mailto:%FromAddr"; part not the whole
template.

It's there as part of a sample signature... no other reason; i.e. after
the cut mark (<dash><dash><space><return> or in other words a '-- ' by
itself on a line). Text below the cut mark is automatically stripped
from the reply.
