This doesn't entirely make sense to me. I assume you mean that you use
the cursor keys (up/down) to move about in the message body, then you
hit the space bar to move to the next message right? And you don't
want it to move to the top of the next message? Or am I missing
something? If I navigate back to the long message I just scrolled to
the bottom of, I can see it has moved back up to the top, which I can
understand it doing, but I'm not understanding your issue.

Interesting... I don't see much of an issue here... If I use page
up/down, then the scrollbar resizes as I move up and down the page...
using the up and down cursor keys, I don't see an issue... But I don't
really consider the page up/down to be much of an issue myself either.
