Having thought more about this, I'm not sure the above can be done with the
current set of functions. The reason is that while Read/Unread is a binary
attribute that can be unambiguously derived for each folder based on existence
of unread messages in it, any given folder may have messages of different
colors, and hence one can't automatically derive _the_ color for a folder based
on this.

In case RITLabs guys are tuned in here: would it be possible to implement
something like the following:

  1. Have a "flag" attribute for each folder

  2. Automatically set the folder's flag value based on presence of flagged
     messages in that folder (just like with Read/Unread)

  3. Show the flag in the folder icon when set

  4. Have a "Flagged" folder set tab

The housekeeping code should be extremely similar to the part handling the
Read/Unread attribute.

This would solve my problem :)
