  I think I knew that but reasoned that a new release vs a new update
  deserved a clean installation.

  In any event, I don't think TB! should make this process -- even
  doing it the way I did it, leaving my data folders behind -- as

  No & here I admit to utter stupidity, given how many years I've been

  To complicate matters, I installed the new version to the old
  default folders, re-created my accounts ok, have restored some
  common & virtual folders ok but am having trouble distinguishing
  what is what (old vs new versions) & not understanding why TB! would
  ignore an existent default AB w/o offering a choice or dialogue of
  some kind.

  I'm still trying to clean up this mess.
