Further to my recent post re runtime errors - apparently associated with ver 2.11.x...I started getting 'error reading database' messages (ERDM)...in ver 2.10.03...which doesn't seem to elicit runtime error messages....

I invoked Message Finder to find certain messages in the Inbox of my IMAP account. This caused an ERDM which asked me to repair the database. Despite attempts to do this (using Maintenance)... all of which failed...eventually I could only get out of The Bat (TB) by rebooting the computer. (All this happened a few days ago as well...followed by runtime messages). Then I clicked on the Inbox of my POP3 account...and I got another ERDM. This time I could run the repair routine in Maintenance, but repair was not done...or the error was repeated - because I kept getting ERDMs when I clicked on the Inbox of that account...

So, I have temporarily given up (again)...Despite a dream run with TheBat for over 2 years or so....now I am running into repeated problems... :-( Whether this is coincidental with me starting to use IMAP several months ago...I don't know. The fact that I had a dream run with TB for so long suggest it is not entirely due to operator ineptitude...

C'est la vie.
