Dear tbudl, I have been using The bat for some time now and found it to be GREAT ;)
Still I got some questins/suggestions for it... A. Message Finder is "lying" When searching for messages via "Message Finder" the status bar always immediatly says "Search Finished. Found 0 messages" and after a few seconds or more e.g. 100 results come in and the status bar still states it has found 0 messages. Is this a known bug ? Could we not get something like "Search in progress. Found xx of yy messages until now". xx would be found messages and yy the number of messages scanned until now. And optimally the found messages should be added to the result list "on-the-fly" so I can start using the messages before the complete search has finished. B. Configure default TO:/CC: for a folder ? Is that possible ? e.g. I have a "thebatlist" folder for this mailinglist and I would like to be able to select the folder and when I press "Create a new message" that TO: would be set to [EMAIL PROTECTED] per default. C. Automatically create virtual folder for mailing lists / authors ? Opera's M2 has a rather nice and unique feature (as I know of) that makes it create a virtual folder (they call it Access point) automatically for each mailinglist im on. They do it by looking at the mail headers to decide if it is a mailing list or not. Is this possible in The Bat ? (it would really safe me some time configuring my filters ;) Another nice possibility would be able to get an automatic virtual folder per user in my address book so I could instantly go find messages received/sent to them. D. What is the "Watched by" feature in folder properties ? I haven't been able to find docs on that feature - what is it ? E. IMAP folders reset their ordering when new folders come in ?! I love the ability in The Bat to reorder the sequence of folders so that I can have: Inbox + work + private + privatebiz + ... + ... But as soon as I go to "Manage IMAP folders" that ordering is nuked and the folder is now alphabetically ordered instead - is their a way to keep this ordering and let The Bat just add any new folders at the bottom instead of messing up my own sort ? F. Quick-change SMTP server ? I'm so "unfortunate" to have a laptop, so I travel alot between "sites": home, work, work-sites, family etc. At most of these places I need to use a separate SMTP server as they have blocked port 25 access to anyone else than the providers SMTP server. Until now I have gone in and manually changed the SMTP server in account properties on each of my mail accounts (3) when changing location - and I do that at least 2 or 3 times a day (home/work/home) and it gets rather bothersome ;( Is there a easier way ? Thanks in advance for answering ;) -- Best regards/Med venlig hilsen, Max mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] ACURE A/S, Celluar: 51 56 10 14, Office: 39 11 80 27 ________________________________________________ Current version is 2.11.02 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
