Hello Marck,

On Wed, 1 Sep 2004, Marck mused about "What's the diff...." (at least
in part):

MDP> ,------/ From a RITlabs mailing I got earlier \------
MDP> What are the differences between Home and Professional package:

MDP> Professional version supports hardware authentication and biometrics, and will
soon
MDP> support on-the-fly encryption of the message base,
MDP> configuration files and address
MDP> books, thus it will do everything that SecureBat!
MDP> (http://www.ritlabs.com/en/products/securebat/) does.
MDP> Professional version does also
MDP> have the multilingual interface and spell checker
MDP> dictionaries incorporated into the
MDP> installation package. For the home version, these language files have to be
MDP> downloaded separately.
MDP> `------\ End /------

Looking at their history, I would not trust anything that said "will
soon" or "in the future." If they are selling something as secure
NOW, it needs to contain it NOW. I would not expect anything stated
here until version 5 or 6, which will cost more and more.

Ritlabs DOES NOT deliver on promises or project plans.
