I'm not sure what you mean with creating a new account, was that in
Dovecot or in TB? I would've advised on both.

This is why I think you didn't create a new account in TB. Anew
account in TB doesn't have a account.cfg anymore. On creating a new
account TB only creates you account.cfn (account info and templates)
and account.flb (folder info). On opening the sorting office for the
first time, you'll get an account.srb

That's because of the .msi, you go and config screen - software and
choose to modify TB, that'll give you the installer with an option to
repair, modify or remove TB.

No, I wouldn't go for that.

I'd create a new pop3 account, copy whatever messages, templates, etc
to the new account and afterwards delete the old account.

BTW Fix them soon or get trouted for lack of a signature delimiter.
