I'd recommend using another client for the migration as well. TB! is not good at moving a lot of messages from a POP to an IMAP account. You'd have to export the TB! messages to unix format. Place the unix exports into the mail directory for ThunderBird. When you open ThunderBird, it will contain folders with the name of each unix base. You can then move the messages to the IMAP account. I've never really done this. What I did was to keep the POP account mail as an archive account and started fresh with IMAP.
